Roman Shades

A Roman shade sits inside or just above the window and stacks tidily at the top, so it suits rooms where floor-length panels would be in the way — over a sink, behind a sofa, in a dining room. Drapery covers more wall, softens a whole room and insulates a little better. Many of our clients use Romans on the smaller windows and drapery on the main one.

With a blackout lining, yes. The fabric face keeps its texture and colour while the lining behind it blocks the light. Because a Roman hangs flat against the opening, ask us about an outside mount if you want to cut the light gap at the edges entirely.

Flat folds give a crisp, tailored, modern line. Hobbled folds keep soft loops of fabric even when the shade is down, for a fuller, more traditional look. Relaxed folds leave a gentle curve at the bottom hem — casual and coastal.

We measure every window ourselves and our own installers do the mounting — the fit is guaranteed. Typical turnaround is fast because everything is produced locally in Kitchener, Ontario.
